The idea of Azul Marin started with a thrifted furniture find. A perfect dry sink, now affectionately known as Shirley. What began as another one of Malin's hobbies or creative interests became Azul Marin. She is driven and excited by her interest in transforming dated furniture, home accents, or everyday items into renovated, functional pieces, always served with a splash of modern, sophisticated style. 

With the help and encouragement of friends, family, and kind folks she has encountered along the way, she started exploring the market needs to find the right niche in the interior design world. Here we are. Welcome to Azul Marin! Please be sure to visit the online shop!

The Creative Magic

 Recycling vintage furniture and unique finds reduces waste and honors each piece's sentimental value by giving them new life. She loves creating unique and custom pieces for your home that are aesthetically perfect for you. 

 Born in Queens, NY to Colombian parents, she was raised in Central Falls and Pawtucket, RI. She attended Saint Raphael Acadeny, then continued her studies at Providence College with her BA. 

A standard weekend meant shopping at Lorraine fabrics, spending hours in tap class, or watching "Sabado Gigante" while learning how to bead a gown or decorate a cake.  Constantly challenged to remain curious.
